Our triage nurses have had specialist training in common ailments and holds a daily clinic. Non-NHS Services

Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:

Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
Insurance claim forms
Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
Private sick notes
Vaccination certificates
Travel vaccinations

The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.

Travel Vaccinations

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel Valkyrie Surgery now only offers the NHS free vaccination service. We do NOT do consultations, this has to be done privately and a print off of this consultation brought into the nurse during your appointment.

This includes

Diptheria/Tetanus/Polio

Typoid

Hepatitis A

Cholera.

All other vaccinations can be obtained from private services and local travel clinics

Coronovirus Information

COVID clinics are run by the Primary Care Network (PCN). A Group of practices under Southend West Central that work together to provide vaccinations in the fight against Corona Virus.

By working together we were able to provide this service for Southend West Central patients and some other areas.
