Telephone lines are open between 8am and 6pm

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or Call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

Appointments with a healthcare professional when your GP Practice is closed:

• Monday to Friday 6.30pm to 8pm at Valkyrie Surgery
• Saturday 9am to 5pm at Southend Medical Centre 

Appointments can be booked by calling 07938 732180 during the times listed or via your own GP practice during normal hours.

Doctors, Nurses and Allied Clinicians have training sessions organised by the ICB.  The time is spent reinforcing and continued improvement of their roles.  Updates and experiences are shared from practice to practice along with Community Services and Social Care.  

It also gives us the opportunity to undertake mandatory training, such as CPR and Child and Adult Safeguarding, along with confidentiality and infection control. 

Administration staff also have continued training the same as the clinicians.  

All staff are required to attend these meetings to meet current NHS guidelines. 

If you need help during this time the ICB have commissioned the 111 service to cover this important time of training for Practices in the area.
